I have been a dog lover all of my life, however I was never able to welcome a dog into my home due to the nature of my work. For decades I volunteered at local rescues and my love for Pugs grew from there.

Not long after Chris and I got married, I was finally in position to rescue a Pug of my very own and little did we know how that little Puggy would change our lives! We rescued Bodie when was three years old and we were his 4th home. It was only a few years later that Chris fell in love with a skinny, frightened little Pug at Florida Pug Rescue that he saw online. “He’s blind and not in great shape - no one will give him a forever home - except us!” he said. Well not too long after that we went to Orlando and brought Spanky home.

We could not love them more and Spanky inspired me to create Blind But Not. I knit dog scarves and give all the money to Pug rescues. So far we have raised over $16,000 to help provide a better life for many, many Pugs.
